Practising Eco-Social Futures: The VOICE Artist Showcase at the Royal College of Art
The VOICE community will gather at the Royal College of Art (Battersea campus) for Practising Eco-Social Futures: The VOICE Artist Showcase, an event dedicated to exploring how artistic practice can actively shape more ecological, collaborative and socially engaged futures.
Bringing together the VOICE artists, researchers, educators, and cultural practitioners, the showcase highlights the role of creative practice in responding to today’s complex environmental and social challenges. Rather than presenting finished works alone, the event foregrounds artistic processes, research journeys, and collaborative methodologies that rethink relationships between people, communities, and ecosystems.
The programme features moving image, sound, publications, participatory formats, and live exchanges, inviting visitors to engage directly with works-in-progress and experimental approaches. The showcase creates space for dialogue around care, resilience, interdependence and collective imagination, which are key dimensions of eco-social transformation.
By emphasising practice as a site of inquiry and action, the event reflects VOICE’s commitment to fostering transdisciplinary exchange and strengthening connections between art, research, and society.
The event is open to artists, researchers, students, cultural organisations, and anyone interested in the intersections of art, ecology and social change.
