Introducing Coffee Break Conversations: Monthly Meetups for Eco-Social Artists

VOICE Update

VOICE is launching Coffee Break Conversations — a new monthly online meet-up space for eco-social artists to explore shared themes, exchange peer-to-peer support, and reflect on challenges in their work.

Held on the last Tuesday of every month, with time varying to maximise accessibility. The first half of the meeting is dedicated to topic-specific discussion, while the second half is reserved for trouble-shooting and peer support on specific issues arising in your work right now.

The Coffee Break Conversations are open to all VOICE artists and everyone interested or working within the field of eco-social art practice.

Upcoming Sessions:

27 May, 12–1 pm GMT / 1–2 pm CET: Navigating Buzzwords ‘Co-production’, ‘Co-creation’, ‘participatory’ and ‘co-design’ are terms used across the sector - by funders, artists and within policy. But what do they actually mean? Why do they matter? And how are we using these terms within our work? Teams link to join.
24 June, 9–10am GMT / 10–11 am CET: Failure How can we be more honest about failure within our work? What can we learn from failure? What does failure even mean within your work? (with insights from the FailSpace project).Teams link to join.
29 July, 4–5 pm GMT / 5–6 pm CET: Rivers How are we collaborating with rivers and the communities who live along them within our work? What issues and opportunities have arisen? What have we learned / could we learn from these ecosystems?Teams link to join.
