14 New VOICE Projects Launch to Empower Citizen-Led Sustainability through Art

VOICE Update

15 May – The VOICE project proudly launches its second phase, introducing fourteen new artist-led initiatives that will apply the VOICE methodology to foster citizen engagement and drive local impact in the face of the climate crisis.

Following the success of its pilot phase, which featured six pioneering projects, VOICE continues to bridge the gap between artists, citizens, and stakeholders. The initiative leverages creative expression, participatory methods, and technological innovation to co-create sustainable solutions in real-world community settings.

“After completing the pilot phase, which allowed us to refine the VOICE approach, we’re thrilled to welcome 14 new projects into our growing community,” says Marta Coto, VOICE Project Coordinator. “By supporting this new wave of artistic experimentation, VOICE is laying the groundwork for future generations to tackle sustainability challenges through creativity and collaboration.”

Through a strong Community of Practice, VOICE enables artists to act as facilitators to bring people from diverse backgrounds to co-create sustainable solutions. By integrating creative expression and technological innovation in real-world settings and communities, the project aims to inspire new, imaginative approaches to sustainability and contribute to achieving the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

The pCr Praxis Workshop, held on April 15th, was led by Dr Anita McKeown and Rebecca White from Future Focus 21c. They introduced the pCr methodology and outlined how it will be applied and developed throughout the project.
